Combining the poetry of everyday living with a contemporary acoustic pop groove is the basis of Drew's music. As the included sample tracks will attest to, he has his roots in what might be called contemporary folk-pop.
The heydays of punk rock from the streets of Vancouver was when Drew began performing and this influence is evidenced in some of his earlier recordings. Youthful anger and rebellion were common themes. Often he would perform as a solo opening act for a thrashing punk rock band before 'alternative' became mainstream!
More recently, Drew has return to a simpler, more roots oriented sound.
Having played all of the major Vancouver clubs repeatedly from the mid 1980's and throughout the 1990's, Drew is now developing his talents as a multi-media artist while continuing to gig on Vancouver's coffee house circuit.
